Stage 1 – Photocatalytic

The first stage of cleaning is “photocatalytic” (light-activating). The titanium dioxide coating reacts with the UV light in sunlight to generate electrons. These electrons turn water molecules from the air into hydroxyl radicals which break down organic dirt into tiny pieces which rainwater can simply wash away.

Stage 2 – Hydrophilic

The second stage of cleaning is “hydrophilic” (water-loving). In this stage, rainwater hitting the glass spreads out in an even sheet and runs off easily, taking the loosened dirt with it. No streaks are left behind, and the window dries swiftly.
